The World of Tanks has only been around for three years here in Asia, but there has already been an evident rapid growth in its community. The creators of the game owe everything to all the avid fans and players of World of Tanks, so they’ve decided to have a huge 3rd anniversary celebration for all their Filipino gamers.

The said anniversary event was held last April 25, 2015 at Area 05, Tomas Morato, Quezon City. Tank lovers all over the Metro came in full force to spend the day with their fellow Tankers – those who have the same fascination and passion. People of all ages, even little kids, came to celebrate World of Tanks Asia’s 3rd anniversary, and they sure did enjoy every minute of it.

Participants waited in line outside the entrance of Area 05 as they signed up to register for the event. As more people were rushing towards the entrance, opening remarks were given by the facilitators of the event. The facilitators and event organizers could easily be distinguished from the rest of the group because they wore military-inspired costumes and camouflage shirts. All the participants were warmly welcomed into the celebration.

There were fun World of Tanks mini games for everyone. Winning in these mini games was already very fulfilling, but the event organizers decided to add more to the excitement by having two sets of raffle draws for all the participants of the event.

Tankers celebrated the anniversary like a very special friend’s birthday, and what’s a birthday without a cake? World of Tanks Asia’s anniversary cake had a red tank on it, and it was sliced as the participants partook their meal. A toast was also given to celebrate yet another milestone in the history of World of Tanks Asia.

Beautiful ladies in military uniforms strutted down the runway in an awesome ramp show. The military uniforms showcased the different countries in the World of Tanks Tech Tree. The participants of the event brought out their cameras and took several photos with the realistic characters of the World of Tanks game.

There was also a tank scale exhibit during the event. Miniature models of manually made tanks were displayed and showcased with their creators standing just right beside them. All of the tanks were perfectly crafted. At first glance, you would definitely think that these miniature models were the real thing.

Halfway through the event was an undeniably amazing performance by one of Philippines’ most popular rock bands, Kjwan. Marc Abaya and the rest of the gang awed everyone in the audience by singing their greatest hits.
