Black Desert Online Debut at Paris Games Week

Daum Games has revealed today it will debut its brand new MMORPG Black Desert Online in playable, hands-on form at the European game conference Paris Games Week. The event will take place from the 28th of October until the 1st of November at the Paris Expo.

Daum Games will offer gamers and press the chance to play the PC title to get a deeper understanding of its gameplay mechanics and captivating world. Furthermore, community managers will be on-site to answer any questions and there will be a special treat for anyone who plays the game at the BDO booth. Black Desert Online can be found in the ESL area (Hall 1 J010).

Alpha test
During Paris Games Week, Daum Games will host an Alpha test to put the game through its paces. A very limited set of keys will be made available through community and fan websites as well as Black Desert Online's official Facebook and Twitter pages.

The Alpha website (blackdesertonline.com/alpha) will be live this Friday at 13:37 CEST (4:37 PDT / 7:37 EDT). From this time, players who have an Alpha key can claim access and download the game client.

Alpha Schedule (live server time):
08:00 / 20:00 CEST (26th October / 1st November)
12:00 / 24:00 EDT (26th October / 1st November)
07:00 / 19:00 PDT (26th October / 1st November)

As Black Desert Online is still in localization and polishing stages to adapt to the Western market, this early alpha version of the EU/NA client will only be able to provide a basic gameplay experience and does not reflect the final state of the product at launch.

Players will also find some features present that are disabled or not fully functional. This is intentional as Daum Games are focusing on tweaking the hardware (server integration) and client configuration. A detailed list of known issues can be found when the game is started. This build will only be playable in English. The level cap during this Alpha is 30.
