Black Desert features a massive and very vibrant world with its dynamic weather and time system. The environment feels so very lively and you will see how every parts of each area was uniquely designed. The parkour system in the game that is something like Assassin’s Creed and/or Grand Theft Auto series style where you can jump and move over in any platform. It’s a feature that we’ll all look forward to and it works perfectly in an open world MMORPG. Though the classes that was made available in the first beta has been limited compared to the previously mentioned, we had a blast trying out the four available classes. The character customization has been disabled as well but given some default character designs, they’re definitely the most beautiful character designs that ever existed in an MMORPG and you can actually see in a video below how Pearl Abyss have invested into the game details.
The combat in Black Desert is not as complicated as the other non-targeting MMOs in the market today. They’ve made the combat as simple as possible actually but giving it more details and retaining the overall art style of the game. Another exciting feature in Black Desert was the housing auction system where there are very limited number of houses (at least in the first beta) to bid on. Players can customize the furniture arrangements in their house and it was also mentioned in the past interviews that it is possible to organize stalls near their house and have some items available for trading. Though I wasn’t able to personally try the Castle siege features due to some optimization issues it looks quite the usual siege but it feels more massive.
There are more features in the game that we haven’t yet to try but the game offers a lot to spend your time with and has done a lot of innovation in the genre.
