New SimCity Gameplay Streamed

Today, the Maxis Label of EA hosted a live broadcast where viewers tuned in to hear breaking news and get in-depth looks at the label’s hottest video games from The Sims 3 franchise and SimCity. This virtual event was packed full of announcements and featured live software demos including the first live-streamed gameplay demo from the award-winning SimCity PC/Mac game.

The event kicked off with the announcement of a new multi expansion pack featured item for The Sims 3 Supernatural and The Sims 3 Seasons, the Weather Stone! Witches, vampires, werewolves and fairies from The Sims 3 Supernatural will be able to awaken the Weather Stone and summon their own magical weather any time of year and in any world. This special item will be available to players who install both titles and will reveal new integrated gameplay possibilities using elements from both games. Live-streaming gameplay for the first time, S i mCity took to the stage and showed viewers what it’s like to play with life through the lens of a growing city. Built from the ground up to be an online experience, SimCity is a fully connected world where each decision has a rippling effect that affects other players within the same region. Next up, The Sims 3 announced it was going back in time with its newest stuff pack, The Sims 3 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff. Players will revisit the styles of decades past by decking out their Sims and homes with fashion and furniture items that capture disco fever, glam style and grunge chic. Players can bring back iconic looks of yesteryear with all-new outfits, funky hairstyles and facial hair, retro objects and more. The Sims 3 Store also took the spotlight and unveiled The Sims 3 Monte Vista, the newest digital world from The Sims 3. In The Sims 3 Monte Vista, players will discover a landscape rich with charm, culture, sweeping views and hilltop villas. Players can also visit renowned museums, stroll through the piazza or practice their culinary skills using a wood-fire oven. This world features new Sims and new locations plus dozens of all-new exclusive objects and clothing. The Sims 3 Monte Vista will be available this winter.
