Heartopia Meteor Showers: A Bright, Cozy Event You Can Plan For

Meteor showers light up Heartopia in rare, festive weather. They add a dash of magic to the town and give players a chance to grab rare items. To know if one is coming, check your watch and tap the today’s weather icon in the upper right. It shows today’s forecast for your server and the week ahead, including special events like meteor showers and rainbows. On January 24, at 5 p.m. GMT (6 p.m. Global Server time), a shower will unfold in Heartopia. This guide lays out where to find Starfall Shards for that event and will be updated for future showers.

Where Doris Appears When the Sky Lights Up

During a meteor shower, you’ll often spot Doris near the Onsen Mountain bus stop. She’s one of Heartopia’s townsfolk who shows up when it rains, when it snows, when a rainbow paints the sky, or during a meteor event. For this weather moment, Doris wears a special look with pink hair and a light blue sweatshirt, a softer update on her usual style—same vibe you see during rainbow weather. She’ll be ready to trade Starfall Shards for decor you can place in your home.

Starfall Shards: The Nine Rock Locations

This guide marks nine specific spots where you can harvest Starfall Shards during a meteor shower. If you’re new to this, think of them as meteorite rocks that glow with colored gems. The shards you’ll mine come in white, yellow, blue, or purple, and each rock holds one shard. If you can’t spot a shard right away, try hopping up nearby rock ledges or scrambles. They’re there; you just need to look around.

The map covers all possible rock spots you can mine, but only nine rocks will yield a harvestable shard each shower. A big thanks goes to players on the CN server who’ve kept this route clear for two years, sharing findings with the community.

Colors to expect on the rocks include blue, white, yellow, and purple. The blue rocks tend to look like Fluorite rocks, but with a different gem color. You’ll see shards of white, yellow, blue, or purple after you mine each rock.

Colors, Trades, and Getting the Shade You Want

During a shower, you’ll collect four natural shard colors: White, Yellow, Blue, and Purple. Not every color appears in every meteor event, so you may not see all four at once. If you want more of a specific hue for furniture, you can trade White Shards for Yellow, Blue, or Purple. Colored shards can’t be swapped back to white, so plan your trades carefully.

Starfall Shards: What You Can Craft and Buy

Doris acts as the shopkeeper for these pieces. You exchange Starfall Shards to get Meteorite furniture and Starfield items. Here’s what’s available and their shard costs:

– Meteorite Bathtub — 20 Starfall Shards
– Meteorite Toilet — 18 Starfall Shards
– Meteorite Pendant Lamp — 16 Starfall Shards
– Meteorite Shower Room — 20 Starfall Shards
– Meteorite Vessel Sink — 18 Starfall Shards
– Meteorite Wall Lamp — 12 Starfall Shards
– Meteorite Stool — 12 Starfall Shards
– Starfield Ceiling Light — 15 Starfall Shards
– Starfield Strand Chandelier — 12 Starfall Shards
– Star String Lights — 12 Starfall Shards
– Star Wall Lamp — 12 Starfall Shards
– Star Desk Lamp — 12 Starfall Shards
– 1x Starfall Shard (Colored) — 1x White Starfall Shard
– Wish Upon Shooting Stars — 5 Starfall Shards

Furniture comes in four color themes: White, Yellow, Blue, and Purple. The same pieces exist in each shade. There are also Green and Pink Shards and furniture, but the way to get them isn’t clear yet.

Do Starfall Shards Respawn During Showers?

No. You’ll have nine harvest rocks to search, which means you’ll walk away with about 27 shards in total. Shards don’t respawn after you harvest a rock, so it’s best to move on after you’ve checked each spot.

Achievements Tied to the Shower Experience

Two in-game goals hinge on meteor showers. The Beneath the Meteor Shower badge comes from being near friends and using a wishing emote that you can buy during your first shower from Doris. The emote costs five White Shards. Your luck improves when a huge shooting star crosses the sky as you wish. If you don’t see it, head to Onsen Mountain to add a friend. Other players from your loaded Town will usually be in the area for the event. If achievements aren’t unlocked yet, you may need to reach a certain level to unlock the achievements app. Once unlocked, the badge will appear.

The Stardust Collector badge asks you to gather 60 Starfall Shards across meteor showers. You’ll want to collect shards over two or three showers to hit that target.
