Google's AI editing tools are now becoming more accessible to Pixel users, as the company starts rolling out features like Magic Editor, Photo Unblur, Magic Eraser, and more to its users. In April, Google had announced that these advanced editing functionalities would be available to all Google Photos users in the future, without the need for a subscription.
According to a report by 9to5Google, many Pixel 7 and 6 series users have started noticing the Magic Editor feature without the requirement of a Google One subscription. A user from Canada even confirmed experiencing this new feature on their Pixel 7 Pro device. However, it is still uncertain which specific devices are receiving the update, as Google mentioned that the rollout would occur gradually.
In the coming months, Google Photos users on Android, iOS, and ChromeOS can expect to access additional features such as Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Color Pop, Portrait Light, HDR effect, and more for free. Non-Pixel users will also have the option to access the Magic Editor feature, but they will only receive 10 free monthly saves unless they are subscribed to a premium Google One Plan.
Overall, Google is expanding the availability of its AI editing tools to provide a more enhanced and inclusive user experience for its customers. With these features being gradually introduced to various devices, users can now enjoy advanced editing capabilities without the need for a paid subscription.
