Seven nations gather in Snezhnaya

The latest Archon Quest unites the seven nations of Teyvat in a collective effort to stop the destruction of civilization, according to the official announcement. As the energy fluctuations of the Nails of Retribution grow more violent, pillars of light appear across Teyvat and mark the onset of the Holy Soil phenomenon, and each nation falls into severe crisis. The Tsaritsa responds by convening a historic gathering in Snezhnaya and summoning representatives from every nation to halt the coming catastrophe. Players will fight beside the Archons, Neuvillette and allies from across Teyvat against a threat the story has never faced at this scale.

HoYoverse is rewarding players who keep pace with the story. Anyone who completes the Archon Quest inside the designated period will receive 560 Primogems and Character Ascension Materials for Mitya. A separate track of Secret Tsarist Assignments offers more rewards, including a Snezhnaya themed Wind Glider. Details on dates and eligibility appear on the official Genshin Impact website.

A new region opens in eastern Snezhnaya

Version 7.2 opens a new explorable region in eastern Snezhnaya. Players can ride the railway to Novokitezhgrad, the main producer of Kresnik Kristall in Snezhnaya. The subterranean city sits entirely underground and is encased in Kresnik Kristall, which sets it in sharp contrast with the snow covered world above. From there, travelers can brave wind and snow on the road east to Wingspan Peak, a summit that unfurls like a gigantic wing, and to Old Kitezhgrad, the first city of Snezhnaya, founded by the Belyi Tsar.

Exploration ties directly into the version story. Players will help Snezhnaya face the Holy Soil phenomenon unleashed by Ronova, using new Prime Ice Constructs and two elemental shotguns to neutralize contaminated Kresnik Kristall deposits while uncovering more of the nation past. New Meeting Point quests follow Danica on a clandestine cleanup assignment for the Tsaritsa in Novokitezhgrad and Mitya as he investigates the soil near Teplo Oasis, and their separate paths are destined to cross. A colossal creature from the ocean depths also waits for challengers in Novokitezhgrad.

Mitya brings Stellar-Conduct reactions

Mitya joins the playable roster as a 5-star Electro Catalyst wielder. Per the announcement, he is an optimistic scientist with the courage to defy the Heavenly Principles. While he is in the party, he converts team Superconduct reactions into Stellar-Conduct reactions, which raise the whole party Stellar-Conduct damage while storing special energy. Pressing his Elemental Skill releases the stored energy as periodic Stellar-Conduct damage to nearby enemies based on the amount stored, while holding the Skill spends it on a rapid flurry of enhanced Charged Attacks. That split lets him shift between off field and on field roles. His Elemental Burst deals area Electro damage and generates more special energy, which sustains his rotations through longer fights. In certain areas of Snezhnaya, his detection device also helps players uncover hidden paths and unlock a reward that changes his appearance.

Valeriy and the Event Wish lineup

Valeriy also joins the roster as a 4-star Electro Sword wielder. As a disciplined Major of the Armory Palace, he provides shields and raises Electro damage, which makes him a natural fit for Stellar-Conduct reaction teams. In the first phase of Event Wishes, Mitya and Valeriy debut alongside a rerun of Furina. The second phase brings back Zibai and Linnea, joined by a new Chronicled Wish that features certain Natlan characters.

Limited-time event and extra activities

Players can unlock the new limited-time event by playing through the Version 7.2 Archon Quest, or they can jump straight in with the Quick Start feature. The event bands players together with allies from Mondstadt to Snezhnaya in a coordinated stand against the Holy Soil phenomenon. Objectives include rescuing wounded soldiers, relaying critical intel and carrying out urgent assignments to contain the crisis. Finishing event objectives grants Primogems and enhancement materials plus the chance to invite a 4-star character of choice to the party. Even after the event ends, players can still explore the area to witness the aftermath. A filming event in Snezhnaya and a mining challenge in Natlan round out the version activities. Miliastra Wonderland adds a masquerade themed lobby, a free 4-star cosmetic set and expanded components, assets and features for stage editing.
