Universal Pictures has seemingly revealed the title of the next Mario movie, which is expected to be called Super Mario World.

The name surfaced in a press release detailing Universal's future projects. It was listed alongside other popular franchises like Shrek and Minions. However, this mention was quickly taken down after it went live.
Teaser from the First Movie
In a fun twist, the first film included a post-credits scene that hinted at Yoshi's appearance. Yoshi is Mario's beloved green dinosaur and first appeared in the classic game Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES).
Release Date and Directors
Fans can look forward to this sequel hitting theaters on April 3, 2026. Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic will return as directors for this new installment.
