Steam launch answers global demand
Smilegate positions the Steam release as a response to requests from players around the world. The company says playing on the largest PC gaming platform should bring in new players and make the game easier to access, with long term benefits for the community as a whole. The Steam version also adds controller support, a first for the game, and Epic Seven confirmed cross-play support for the Steam version ahead of launch, so existing account progress carries over to the new platform.
Interest in the PC release has been strong. More than 100,000 players took part in the Steam wishlist event that started back in August, according to InvenGlobal, signaling a ready audience for launch day.
Foundry gives every player a fresh start
Foundry is a brand new server where every player begins on equal footing. It can be reached through Steam, the STOVE PC Client and mobile devices, so Heirs can pick the screen that suits them without splitting the community. For players starting Epic Seven for the first time, player versus player matchmaking will run apart from the older servers for a limited time, which means newcomers face other newcomers instead of veterans with years of built up rosters.
The staggered rollout also gives competitive players a clear calendar. Draft Arena opens first, with Guild War and World Arena following in later updates, and matchmaking for each mode stays inside the Foundry server while the rollout continues.
Launch events speed up early progress
A Settlement Support Buff Event started alongside the server opening to help new accounts catch up fast. The buffs cover Hero and account growth, and players also get free Hero summons every day during the event period. Logging in and clearing content adds more rewards on top, including equipment, growth materials and Hero Skins, which should take much of the grind out of the opening weeks.
Epic Seven belongs to a growing group of veteran mobile RPGs settling onto PC, a path Granblue Fantasy also took when the iconic RPG arrived on Steam. A shared server that welcomes PC and mobile players at once keeps friends together no matter which device they prefer.
Secret Rabbit Hole side story runs to December 10
A special side story titled Secret Rabbit Hole runs from October 29 to December 10. The story follows Bunny Girl Great Detective Moro and her sidekick Alencia as they dig into a plot uncovered during a victory celebration party, working through incidents to expose the truth behind the case. Players earn three pieces of Level 88 equipment by playing through the story, plus a special pet for collecting all three new Bunny Girl characters and two skins.
Two concurrent events add even more to chase. Trusty Sidekick Alencia Case Files and the Lucky Board Party! hand out extras such as Charms and Emojis, giving Foundry starters plenty of reasons to log in daily through the end of the celebration.
Can Foundry be played on mobile and PC?
Yes. The Foundry server is open through Steam, the STOVE PC Client and mobile devices, and players can choose whichever platform suits them.
Will new Foundry players face veterans in PvP?
No. Players starting fresh get independent player versus player matchmaking apart from the older servers for a limited time, so early matches stay fair.
What launch rewards can new players earn?
New accounts get growth buffs, free daily Hero summons and login rewards that include equipment, growth materials and Hero Skins, plus event rewards from the Secret Rabbit Hole celebration.
