Black Desert Unveils Edania Part 2, Introducing New Endgame Challenges and Expanding the World

Black Desert’s Edania Part 2: What You Need to Know About the Inner Region

When does Black Desert’s Edania Part 2 release? Pearl Abyss launched Edania: Part 2 today, opening the long-awaited Inner region of the demonic realm. This update introduces six monster zones, four major bosses, new accessories, and endgame gear for high-level players.

Quick Facts

Update name: Edania: Part 2
New monster zones: 6 (including one 3-player party zone)
New bosses: 4 (Aphrodon, Hermesia, Magaia, Aresion)
Highest stat requirement: 420 AP and 505 DP (Event Horizon zone)
New accessories: Ekleta and Apeiron
New outfit: Godslayer’s Armor (craftable)
Next update: Planned for September 2026, introducing Hadum as the main threat

First, a Look Back at Edania’s Lore

Pearl Abyss first introduced Edania back in August 2025. This demonic realm splits into two parts. The Outer region features demon lords who stole power from gods. The Inner region, now open, is where those gods directly rule.

With today’s patch, players can push deeper into Edania. They will face Agris, Markthanan, Elion, and Aal. These four powerful beings have been part of Black Desert’s story for years. Now, you finally fight them.

Six New Monster Zones for High-Level Adventurers

Edania: Part 2 brings six fresh monster zones. Each zone has its own monsters, mechanics, and loot. Here is the full list:

Agris’ domain – Aphrodon Temple
Markthanan’s Domain – Hermesia Inner Castle
Elion’s domain – Magaia Temple
Aal’s domain – Aresion Temple
Elion’s Domain – Scales of Judgment (3-Player Party Zone)
Hadum’s Domain – Event Horizon

Stat requirements rise as you move through these zones. Event Horizon demands the most, needing 420 AP and 505 DP. Scales of Judgment stands out as a dedicated three-player party zone. Here, your team must balance opposing forces to survive.

From what we have seen, these zones offer real challenge for endgame players. They are not for casual farming. Expect tight mechanics and serious danger.

Four New Bosses and the Throne of Edana

The Inner region adds four bosses. Each one links to a major lore figure:

– Aphrodon (Agris)
– Hermesia (Markthanan)
– Magaia (Elion)
– Aresion (Aal)

Stat requirements for these bosses range from 405 AP/485 DP to 420 AP/505 DP. You can fight one Edania boss per week through a weekly quest. Completing that quest gives you an Edana Rising Token.

This token lets you enter the Throne of Edana. Think of it as a PvP arena where one player holds the throne. The current Edana must defend their spot. Other players challenge them. The last person standing becomes the new Edana and gets exclusive rewards.

We tested this system during the preview. It feels tense and rewarding. Winning the throne gives you real status in the game.

New Accessories: Ekleta and Apeiron

Two new accessories help push your gear score higher. Both can reach the same maximum stats. But they use different upgrade paths.

Ekleta comes from converting high-grade Kharazad accessories. You enhance it using materials that match each accessory slot. This path works well if you already have strong Kharazad gear.

Apeiron drops directly from the new monster zones. You can also buy or sell it on the Central Market. This path is for players who prefer grinding zones and trading.

Based on our experience, both paths feel fair. Pearl Abyss gave players choice here. Grinders and crafters both have a clear way forward.

New Outfit and Crystals

The Godslayer’s Armor outfit arrives with this update. You craft it by collecting Embers of Ynix from the Inner region. These embers drop from monsters and bosses. Once you have enough, visit the Ancient Foresight near the Radiant Lands to start the quest.

The outfit looks heavy and menacing. It fits the Edania theme well.

Hero Wars

Pearl Abyss also added the Wandering Origin Crystal. You craft it using materials from the Inner region. Plus, new artifacts and consumables support the late-game grind.

Discover the Tachyon Legacy

Hidden throughout Edania’s Inner region, the Tachyon Legacy offers a special trial. Find the legacy, complete the trial, and earn Agris Gold Coins.

These coins stack up. You trade them for valuable rewards like:

– Cron Stones
– Nev’s Fragment
– Advice of Valks (+250)
– Twilight of the End

This is a nice side goal for explorers. It rewards players who search every corner of the new zones.

What Comes Next?

Pearl Abyss plans to release the next story chapter in a future update. September 2026 looks likely. That update will introduce Hadum as the next major threat. A new main questline will follow.

For now, Edania Part 2 gives players plenty to do. Six zones, four bosses, new gear, and the Throne of Edana should keep the endgame busy for months.
