Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, John Paul “H2wo” Salonga, and Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse are finally back together. But instead of joining a new Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team, the trio is making a surprising move to another game.
The three MPL PH veterans have officially joined Honor of Kings, a fast-rising mobile MOBA. This was revealed through a promotional video shared on the official HoK social media page, featuring none other than Setsuna “Akosi Dogie” Ignacio.
Adding more excitement to the roster, Oscar “Sumpak” Romero is also taking his talents to Honor of Kings.
Speculations about the reunion started spreading online after the MPL PH Season 15 playoffs. Fans noticed some cryptic posts from Dogie and the trio, sparking rumors that something big was coming. The rumors were confirmed when each member of the trio announced their exit from their previous MLBB teams one after another.
Now that they are all part of HoK, fans are wondering if this could mean a new version of Nexplay is forming in a different game. The move also raises the question of whether more MLBB players will shift to Honor of Kings, just like Mara Aquino and Carlito “Ribo” Ribo Jr.
Whether this is a one-time project or the start of something bigger, one thing is certain. The arrival of these popular names is a major boost to the Honor of Kings community in the Philippines.
