Toronto Defiant Launches Limited Edition Streetwear Collection
On the heels of their global brand launch last month, Toronto’s expansion team competing in the Overwatch League, the Toronto Defiant, have launched a limited-edition streetwear collection. The 10-piece fan-fan-focused collection includes officially branded merchandise available only until Dec 31, 2018.
A portion of the proceeds will go to Ability Online — the first social media technology platform for young people with disabilities to connect with each other and the world around them.
“This is all about giving our fans early access to Defiant gear so that they can wear their pride and excitement on their sleeves ahead of the 2019 Overwatch season, while supporting a great charity,” said Chris Overholt, President and CEO of OverActive Media. “Our fans have been so amazing throughout this entire process. Fan items for sale include: Men’s Sigil White Tee, Women’s Sigil White Tee, YYZ DEF Black Tee, Defiant Canteen, The Pack-Jack, Defiant Blackwatch Cap, The “Crew”-neck, Representative Pullover, and a Defiant Zip-Up.
The Overwatch League is the first major esports league to feature city-based teams. Twelve franchises were selected for the inaugural season, with another eight added this year, including the Toronto Defiant. Built from the ground up for online and team competition, Overwatch has over 40 million players.
