The announcement also locks in the official floor map, the five-day event stage and live stream timetable, venue merchandise, food court menus, new sponsors and the completed 30-team TGS BOOSTERZ ambassador lineup for the 30th anniversary edition.

Record exhibitor count and booth scale

TGS 2026 surpasses last year's historic numbers to become the largest Tokyo Game Show ever held, with 1,138 exhibitors representing an all-time high of 53 countries and regions. Total booth scale has reached 3,999 booths, and for the first time the event will run for five consecutive days, from Thursday, September 17 to Monday, September 21, which is a national holiday in Japan. The organizer expects around 300,000 visitors across the five days. Business days run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while public days open at 9:30 AM and close at 5:00 PM, except for the final day which ends at 4:00 PM. Doors on public days may open 30 minutes early depending on crowd conditions.

Floor map and venue zones

The official TGS 2026 floor map is now live, including an interactive 3D venue map that keeps section names visible even when zoomed out. The footprint covers Exhibition Halls 1 to 11 plus the International Conference Hall and the newly added TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall. Merchandise, food and 30th anniversary plans

More than 60 official merchandise items will be sold only at the venue, featuring the main visual by illustrator Zashikiwarashi and artwork from digital artist group ANIMAREAL across T-shirts, towels, keychains, acrylic stands and mugs. Shops stand on the Central Mall second floor and the Halls 9 and 10 esplanade on business days, moving near the merchandise sales area in Hall 10 on public days, with cash, credit cards, Japanese e-money and QR payments accepted.
