The Great Clash Storyline: Karel's Invasion Begins

The main narrative in Season 4 Episode 1 brings a direct face-off with Karel, the leader of Qliphoth's Legion of Darkness. This is not a simple boss fight. The story paints Karel as a character with his own reasons and hidden secrets. He sets Albion, the home base of the Descendants, on fire. Players finally see what drives him and how his long-hidden past connects to the current crisis. The goal is clear: end the war with the Legion of Darkness once and for all.

Karel's Mothership: A Three-Stage Mega Dungeon

The centerpiece of the content update is the Mega Dungeon called “Karel's Mothership.” It is much bigger than the typical Infiltration Operations. Players fight Karel three separate times, each in a different area. Every battle changes his attack patterns. You have to watch and adapt. New tricks and traps inside the dungeon let you turn the fight in your favor.

The hardest difficulty, called “Conquest,” opens for a limited window. It runs from September 3 to October 15. Even a single clear during that period gives limited rewards. These include a “Hero of the Dawn” Name Card, a UI Theme, and a special skin for the Transcendent Weapon “Malicious Dominator.” No matter your rank, you get these items if you finish it once.

Raven: The Goth Gunner with a Pet Bird

Raven is the newest Descendant added to the roster. She used to be the boss of a back-alley guild in Albion, acting as its judge. Her look is goth-themed, with a raven-feather suit and a pet raven that stays by her side. She has history with Viessa, Kyle, and Sharen.

Raven is a Non-Attribute Fusion fighter. She relies on shotguns and fast movement skills. Unlike most characters, she does not use MP. Instead, she focuses on grinding down enemy shields and landing shotgun shots. She even has her own unique roll animation that sets her apart from other fighters.

Getting Raven is easier than many other characters. Players who finish the Season 4 Episode 1 story get “Raven Amorphous Material” and 100 Rare Basic Materials. You can farm her in both high-level and low-level content.

Transcendent Weapons: A New Power Tier

A new weapon tier called Transcendent Weapons is now in the game. These weapons range from pure gun-focused tools to attribute-based skill dealers. Each one has its own firing method and visual effects. They do not look or feel like older guns.

Farming these weapons works differently. The base Quality of the weapon keeps improving as you collect more. This eventually guarantees high-Quality drops. That means early farming never feels like a waste. Transcendent Weapons drop starting at Normal difficulty. Players who are still leveling up can use them to build their gear.

Trials Mode: Roguelite Deck-Building

Trials is a new repeatable game mode built on roguelite ideas. Each run has seven zones. Every time you move to the next zone, you pick a Variable Code. These are not simple buffs. They work like a deck-building system. You can stack them and combine them for strong synergies.

Some Variable Codes do things you cannot get anywhere else. For example, they can expand the maximum limit of skill range. If you build a full set of matching codes, your firepower jumps up a lot in the later stages of a run.

Rotational Builds: Borrow Ready-Made Characters

Players who do not have a finished build can borrow one. The developers have prepared complete Descendant builds that you can use in Trials. You do not need to meet normal entry requirements like Arche Activity. Just join through a separate matchmaking pool.

Arknights: Endfield

Even with a borrowed build, you can still farm Transcendent Weapons, Archive Shards, Reactors, and External Components. Two to three builds rotate each week. This is great for beginners and returning players. You can experience the power of a finished setup without grinding for months.

Boost Path: Free Ultimate Bunny Build

Starting August 20, a new Boost Path gives players a fully equipped “Electric Condense” Ultimate Bunny build. It comes with all gear and growth materials except Ancestors Modules. Any Descendant at Mastery Rank 20 or below is automatically enrolled. No separate sign-up is needed. This runs through the entire Episode 1 season.

Kyle and Keelan Rebalances

Two Descendants are getting big changes. Kyle now scales his damage with maximum Shield. This makes him useful in high-end content like Onslaught. His skill-to-skill chaining is also smoother.

Keelan sees a rework that lowers his execution difficulty. His damage floor goes up, giving him more reliable firepower. The goal is to make him consistent rather than bursty.

Special Events: Six Weeks of Rewards

The update includes six live events running from August 20 through November 11. The “Frontline Medical Support” attendance event gives Luna's “Medical Support” skin and Reactor growth materials. “The Great Clash Deployment Mission” supports Raven, Kyle, and Keelan with Transcendent Module boxes and Crystallization Catalysts. The “New Content Challenge Mission” rewards players for clearing the Mega Dungeon and Trials, including a “Butcher” Malevolent weapon skin.

Returning players get their own “Back to Albion” event that walks them through major changes since they left. Rewards include Ultimate Weapon core enhancements and Ancestors Modules. “Accelerate Research Week” (August 20–September 16) boosts research speeds, with better rates on weekends. Finally, “Descendant’s Weekend” runs every weekend from August 21 to September 16, giving 20% bonus EXP, Gold, and Kuiper Shards in specific dungeons.
