Each game offers a unique experience, from survival and strategy to fast-paced action. Here’s a closer look at what’s coming:
PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for May 2025
ARK: Survival Ascended | PS5
Are you ready to form a tribe, tame and breed hundreds of species of dinosaurs, and survive in a prehistoric world? ARK: Survival Ascended is a complete remaster of the 2015 hit ARK: Survival Evolved, rebuilt with Unreal Engine 5. The game includes all major expansions, such as Scorched Earth, Aberration, and Extinction, along with new features like improved graphics and physics.
Players in Canada and around the world can enjoy multiplayer with up to 70 players, private sessions for 8, or local split-screen for 2.
Balatro | PS5, PS4
A Game of the Year nominee, Balatro is a roguelike deck-builder that blends poker mechanics with strategic depth. Create powerful combos using unique Joker cards and unlock hidden bonuses to outplay your opponents. The game’s addictive gameplay loop makes it easy to lose hours in its world.
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun | PS5, PS4
A love letter to classic 90s shooters, Boltgun delivers fast-paced action in the grimdark universe of Warhammer 40,000. Play as a Space Marine and unleash devastating firepower against Chaos forces. The game’s retro-inspired visuals and intense combat make it a must-play for FPS fans.
These games will be available to all PlayStation Plus members from May 6 to June 2.
Don’t Miss April’s Games Before They Leave
If you haven’t already, be sure to claim April’s PS Plus Monthly Games—RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory—before they leave the service on May 5.
Monthly Games vs. Game Catalog: What’s the Difference?
- Monthly Games are available to all PS Plus members (Essential, Extra, and Premium). Once claimed, they remain in your library as long as you stay subscribed.
- Game Catalog & Classic Catalog are for Extra and Premium members, offering a rotating selection of games that can leave the service at any time.
