Motorola Delays Razr 2025 Launch in Key Markets

Motorola Delays Razr 2025 Launch in Key Markets 3

Motorola Pushes Back Razr (2025) Launch Date

Motorola has announced a slight delay for its upcoming Razr (2025) smartphone, but this change only affects certain regions.

New Release Date Confirmed

The device was initially set to hit the market on May 15. However, 9to5Google reported that Verizon, one of the major U.S. carriers, removed the phone's listing from its site. Following this update, Verizon revised its website to indicate that the new launch date is now May 22. Motorola later confirmed to 9to5Google that this adjustment was made “to ensure the best possible launch experience for their customers.”

The Razr will be available through Verizon and other U.S. carriers like Straight Talk, Total Wireless, and Visible starting on May 22.

Status in Canada Remains Unclear

Interestingly enough, as of now, Motorola's Canadian website does not list the Razr model at all. This absence hints at a potential delay in Canada as well. However, it can still be found on Rogers' website, which aligns with earlier announcements regarding availability in Canada.

The situation surrounding whether or not the Razr Ultra will also face delays beyond its scheduled June 3 release remains uncertain; notably, there are no plans for releasing the Razr+ in Canada.

A Closer Look at Specifications and Features

The new base model of the Razr boasts an impressive 6.9-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 165Hz alongside a smaller 3.6-inch pOLED cover screen. In contrast, the Ultra version features a larger 7-inch FHD+ display and an even bigger cover screen measuring at 4 inches using pOLED technology.

This entry-level device is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7400X processor paired with 8GB RAM and offers users either 256GB storage capacity or more advanced options depending on their needs.

The Ultra variant takes things up a notch with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chip along with options for either 16GB RAM and storage choices ranging from an impressive 512GB to an astounding terabyte (1TB).

Moto AI Enhancements Set to Impress Users

Both models come equipped with exciting new Moto AI features designed to enhance user experience significantly. One standout feature exclusive to the Ultra is called “Look and Talk.” This innovative function allows users to activate their phone simply by looking at it through its exterior display-an intuitive addition aimed at making interactions smoother than ever before.
