An evening built around play

Irish Del Rosario, Public Relations Manager of Infinix Philippines, opened the evening by welcoming guests and urging them to test the devices, challenge fellow gamers and connect over a shared passion for gaming. Her message set the tone right away, with play taking priority over presentations. She said the team was not there just to talk but to play, and framed the GT NX Controller and GT NX Station as new ways to compete and enjoy favorite games.

Del Rosario pointed to the precision and responsiveness of the GT NX Controller and the ability of the GT NX Station to bring gameplay to bigger screens. She also named Blood Strike as the partner game for the evening, giving players a fast paced shooter in which to put both devices to the test. From that opening, every guest had a clear invitation to pick up the hardware and join the action rather than watch from the sidelines.

GT NX Controller puts precision first

During the product talk, Willy Lloyd Cruz, Community Manager of Infinix Philippines, introduced both devices and explained how each one offers a different way to enjoy mobile gaming. The GT NX Controller offers up to 22 hours of playtime and features Split Controller Mode, which allows players to share the experience with friends and family. According to Cruz, the controller targets players who want finer control than a touchscreen alone can provide.

That promise was tested at Station 2, where guests faced off in a friendly BombSquad 1v1 challenge. The station turned a product demo into a contest of timing, coordination and quick decision-making. The controller features a pixel-level FPS touchpad that offers another way to navigate demanding gameplay, giving players an extra control option while keeping the action clearly visible on screen.

The challenge format suited the hardware. In competitive play, a mistimed input or an awkward control layout can break the flow of a match, especially when quick reactions and multiple actions are required. Giving participants a live opponent showed how the controller handles pressure instead of describing it in a slide deck.

GT NX Station takes play to the big screen

The GT NX Station answers a different need by moving mobile games onto larger displays. It supports screen extension and mirroring for a bigger-display setup, alongside a built-in TEC cooling system designed to help manage heat during gameplay. Cruz described the two devices as a pair, with the controller covering precision-focused controls and the station covering more immersive play on a larger screen.

Station 3 made the case with a Beach Buggy Racing challenge on a TV. The bigger-screen setup gave players a wider view of every turn while spectators gathered around to watch. That shared viewing turned a solo mobile session into a social one, with friends able to follow the race and join the excitement without crowding around a phone.

Station 1 completed the tour by pairing the Infinix GT 50 Pro with the GT NX Controller for Blood Strike. Guests explored how the phone hardware and precision controls work together in a demanding shooter, connecting the wider GT ecosystem with a title the local community already plays.

Blood Strike anchors the hands-on lineup

Blood Strike carried the competitive weight of the evening as the partner game. Its fast rounds and gunplay reward aim, movement and reaction speed, which made it a natural fit for showing what dedicated controls add to mobile shooters. Players could feel the difference between touchscreen input and the controller in real matches instead of taking the claim on faith.

The supporting games rounded out the range. BombSquad tested timing and chaos management in close quarters while Beach Buggy Racing tested line choice and composure on a big screen. Together, the three stations covered precision, party play and spectating, which are three distinct ways players actually spend time with games.

Fans, creators and a 1v1 showdown

Gaming creators Nami Onuma and Rain Pega joined the gathering alongside host Chacha Pega, adding energy to an evening that already ran on competition. The highlight was the GT NXperience 1v1 Challenge, which brought together four randomly selected fans and four media participants for a friendly contest across the gaming stations.

After competing in BombSquad and Beach Buggy Racing, the champion took home an Infinix GT 50 Pro, GT NX Controller and GT NX Station. Beyond the main contest, guests enjoyed a photobooth and a customizable fidget-clicker station. A raffle gave attendees the chance to win GT NX shirts and jackets, GT Buds 5, GT Watch 5 Pro and GT NX sets, while branded Infinix loot bags rounded out the night.

By mixing media partners, creators and fans in the same brackets, the gathering celebrated the community behind the GT ecosystem. Everyone played under the same rules, and the prizes went to performance rather than profile.
