Front True to Color camera leads the King of AI Selfies pitch
The selfie system rests on three pillars that HUAWEI names True to Color imaging, crystal clear clarity and AI powered creativity. The nova 16s Pro carries an exclusive Front True to Color Camera that detects shifts in ambient color temperature, which helps the phone reproduce skin tones, makeup shades and surrounding colors the way they looked in real life. Concert lights and dim cafes are the specific problem cases named, since those are the scenes where selfies usually come out too yellow, too pale or visibly different from the moment itself.
Clarity comes from a 50MP Ultra Portrait Camera built around a 1/2.5 inch front sensor that pulls in more light for cleaner detail in dark settings. The headline feature is the industry first 0.8x to 5x Selfie Zoom, which stretches from an ultra wide group framing at 0.8x through a natural 1x view out to 2x and 5x close ups for makeup or outfit details, all without switching to the rear camera. On the software side, AI Best Expression picks the strongest facial expressions from multiple captures so group shots land cleanly, AI Move repositions or resizes people and objects to tidy up composition, and AI De-Glare cuts reflections from glass and similar surfaces.
A 200MP rear camera with AI Composition help
Around the back, the nova 16s Pro packs what HUAWEI calls the most powerful 200MP rear camera in nova history. The 200MP RYYB Ultra Large Sensor measures 1/1.28 inch and pairs with an F1.8 aperture, a combination aimed at brighter and cleaner shots under low light and mixed concert lighting. Stabilization backs it up to keep handheld night shots sharp, and a 200MP High-Res mode lets owners shoot once and crop freely into full body, half body or close up framings while holding onto detail.
Color accuracy gets the same attention on the rear array. Rear True to Color technology works across the main, telephoto and wide angle cameras so concert lights, vivid sunsets and bright outfits render closer to how the eye saw them. AI Composition adds real time guidance on framing and subject placement, which is aimed at travelers, outfit posts and portraits of friends where a second opinion on the angle helps before the shutter fires.
7000mAh battery, 100W charging and an ultra bright display
Connectivity and endurance round out the package. The series ships with 5G plus network tuning that reconnects quickly after dead zones such as elevators and basement parking areas. An upgraded IceBridge Heat Dissipation architecture is tasked with keeping gaming, streaming and app switching smooth when the day gets busy.
The 7000mAh battery is rated for up to 29 hours of YouTube playback or 21 hours of TikTok scrolling, and 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo pushes a flat battery to 40 percent in 15 minutes for fast top ups before heading out. Up front, the nova 16s Pro uses a 6.84 inch Ultra Bright display with an adaptive 1 to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 6000 nits of peak brightness, which keeps photos, video and feeds readable even under direct sunlight.
EMUI 16, Celia assistant and everyday apps
Software is EMUI 16, which HUAWEI positions as a calmer and more intuitive layer for daily tasks. The enhanced Celia AI Assistant answers natural voice commands to set reminders, manage appointments, send messages and reach supported third party services without digging through menus. For apps, HUAWEI AppGallery covers productivity, entertainment, shopping and transport, with familiar Google services such as Gmail, YouTube, Drive, Meet and Docs available alongside local staples led by GCash, BDO, Shopee and Grab.
Ride the Waves design and Kunlun Glass durability
The chassis follows a Ride the Waves theme inspired by clear skies and rolling blue seas. The nova 16s Pro measures a slim 7.1mm, weighs 218g and finishes in frost resistant Frosted AG Glass with an upgraded Twin Star Orbit Ring camera deco. Inside the frame sits an aerospace grade aluminum alloy mid chassis, while Kunlun Glass is rated for 10 times higher drop resistance and 5 times higher wear resistance than the previous generation. IP65 dust and water splash resistance covers everyday weather. Color options for the Pro are Isle Blue, Breathing Crystal and Starry Black, while the standard nova 16s adds Sky White to the same lineup.
Selfie challenge puts 50 phones up for grabs
To push the launch, HUAWEI opened the #TrueColorsSelfieChallenge on TikTok with 50 nova 16s Pro units worth a total of PHP 2,249,950 at stake. The challenge is open to all smartphone owners and asks entrants to post selfie videos made with the nova 16s Series Branded Effect plus the required hashtags before November 12 2026. The 50 eligible entries with the highest views each take home a new nova 16s Pro, which makes the contest a straight reach race for creators who want flagship hardware without paying for it.
Prices, vouchers and where to pre-order
The headline numbers put the nova 16s Pro with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage at PHP 39,999, down from PHP 44,999, while the standard nova 16s with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage sits at PHP 29,999, down from PHP 34,999.
