Xbox recently announced that they will be delisting Forza Horizon 4 from the Microsoft Store and Steam digital storefronts on December 15th, 2024. The decision to remove the 2018 open-world racing game is due to expiring licensing agreements with their partners, particularly regarding the use of various car manufacturers' vehicles within the game.

While the game will no longer be available for purchase after the specified date, current owners of Forza Horizon 4 will still be able to play the game on both Xbox and PC. Additionally, players with an active Xbox Game Pass membership who have purchased DLC for the game will receive a redeemable token through the Xbox Message Center in the coming days.

To allow players the opportunity to continue playing or to experience Forza Horizon 4 for the first time, Xbox is offering discounts on the game. A substantial 80% discount is currently available on Steam for a limited time, while a sale on Xbox will commence on July 14th.

For fans of the critically acclaimed title, the news of Forza Horizon 4's delisting may come as a disappointment, especially for those concerned with preserving access to the game. Nevertheless, Xbox reassures players that the latest installments in the series, including 2021's Horizon 5 and last year's Motorsport, will continue to be supported.

More details regarding the delisting process and frequently asked questions can be found on the Forza Motorsport website. As Xbox prepares to remove Forza Horizon 4 from digital storefronts, players are encouraged to take advantage of the discounts and ensure they have access to the game before it becomes unavailable for purchase.
