If you thought the recent Summer Game Fest and the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 would be enough to satisfy your gaming cravings, think again! Toronto is stepping up its gaming culture with a lineup of thrilling events.
A Month Dedicated to Video Games
In just two weeks, Toronto will kick off its inaugural “Video Game Month,” celebrating the vibrant local gaming community. The festivities will begin right after the XP Game Summit business conference on June 12 and 13. Attendees can look forward to a variety of free activities. Many events are part of “Toronto Games Week“, which features:

Join hosts Gav Sarafian and Hannah Beatty as they explore diversity, equity, and inclusion in gaming while providing networking opportunities (Friday, June 13 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.).
Learn about game jams and funding insights for prototypes from industry experts like Gina Hara (GAMERella), Adam Saltsman (Finji), Adam Clare (Sheridan), and Ontario Creates (Saturday, June 14 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.).
Catch a live stream on Twitch showcasing games developed by Canadians.(Saturday, June 14 at 3 p.m.)
Unreal Engine and AMD will spotlight emerging talents in Toronto's gaming scene (Sunday, June 15 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.).
This panel hosted by the International Game Developers Association features experienced programmers sharing their journeys and advice for newcomers (Monday, June16 from7p.m.to11p.m.).
This monthly gathering includes a special talk by Osama Dorias-a former Blizzard developer-who will discuss overcoming challenges in game development (Tuesday ,June17from7p .m.to11p .m.).
