Celebrating Canadian Gaming: The Great Canadian Game-Off
This month, the Entertainment Software Association of Canada (ESAC) kicked off an exciting initiative called The Great Canadian Game-Off. This campaign invites gaming enthusiasts to cast their votes for their favorite games developed in Canada while also giving them a chance to win gift cards for gaming subscriptions.
The timing of this event is significant as it marks ESAC's 20th anniversary. To celebrate two decades of supporting the thriving billion-dollar gaming industry in Canada, they are highlighting the rich history and achievements within this vibrant sector.
Round 1 Recap: Your Favorite Games
In the first round of The Great Canadian Game-Off, fans were asked to select their top picks from a wide range of genres and numerous nominees. With so many options available, it was an exciting opportunity for gamers to showcase their preferences. Now that Round 1 has concluded, we're moving into Round 2.
Starting on July 31 and continuing until August 25, voters will have the chance to choose from a shortlist created by your selections in Round 1. This next phase promises even more engagement as fans rally behind their favorites once again.

- Far Cry III(Ubisoft Montreal – Montreal, Que.)
- Luigi's Mansion III (Next Level Games – Vancouver, B.C.)
- Mass Effect II (BioWare – Edmonton, Alta.)
