Cherry Credits will launch the Open Beta Test (OBT) of its newest Multiplayer Online Third-Person Shooter Game (MOTPS), Avatar Star on 7 May 2013. The game is produced and led by Troy Horton, CEO of Pearl Digital Entertainment (former Producer of the original Tomb Raider I, II and III series at Core Design in the UK).
During the past one-month of Closed Beta Test (CBT), Avatar Star CBT keys were snapped up as soon as they were released on partner sites. Over 10,000 CBT keys were generated during the CBT period but there were overwhelming request for more keys. Avatar Star’s official Facebook Page ‘Likes’ surged from 2,000 to over 50,000 with players actively discussing about the game and posting their unique Avatar creation.
Thanks to the enthusiastic support from players, Cherry Credits was able to iron out the kinks in the game to bring the game to Open Beta stage quickly. In appreciation of the help received from CBT players, CEO of Cherry Credits, Mr Addison Kang announced rewards in the form of limited edition avatar cards and gold keys, depending on the players’ character level achievements.
“The extremely active CBT community shows that Avatar Star hits close to the heart of the players! We are delighted to hear all the positive feedback from the community, and with their help, we managed to find and fix 2 major bugs within the CBT period. OBT players can now enjoy the game and we are confident to pass the upcoming massive sign-ups.” Says Mr Kang.
The Open Beta phase features the launch of the Cash Shop where players can make cash purchases for avatar items. It also paves the way for everyone who has yet to enjoy the game.
