A joint push from LEGO and Pokemon brings fresh brick magic
Two beloved brands team up as the LEGO Group and The Pokemon Company announce new LEGO Pokemon sets. Fans can build and display iconic Pokemon from 30 years of history when these go on sale February 27, 2026.
Five favorites kick off the first wave
The initial release features five fan favorites: Pikachu, Eevee, Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise. Builders get a chance to turn these classics into brick art and show off their love for the franchise, brick by brick.
The standout Pikachu moment: a Pokeball burst
One special set recreates a famous scene: Pikachu leaps from a Pokeball. The model uses 2,050 pieces and sits on a black base shaped like a bolt of lightning, with energy flowing as Pikachu exits. An Easter egg on the base shows the number 25, nodding to Pikachu’s Pokedex entry. The figure can strike a dynamic battle pose when the Pokeball opens, or sit calmly with the Pokeball closed.
A colossal trio: Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise
Fans get a truly epic display with three major starters packed into one kit. This set is among LEGO’s largest display builds, boasting more than 6,838 pieces. It includes all three first-partner evolutions in brick form, each with its own pose and character. The figures are clearly true to the originals and are surprisingly posable. The action base holds all three, while hiding little secrets for fans to discover as they build. The base also channels the biomes that inspire each Pokemon, giving the display extra depth.
Eevee’s charm in a detailed 587-piece model
Eevee brings a lot of personality in a medium-size build. The 587-piece set reproduces Eevee with a friendly face and movable tail, head, and limbs for natural looking poses. It’s designed for easy display or action-ready moments. The Build Together app makes it easy for friends and family to join in on the build, turning the process into a shared project.
What leaders from LEGO and Pokemon say
Julia Goldin, LEGO Group’s Chief Product & Marketing Officer, notes that turning Pokemon into LEGO bricks is both exciting and a big responsibility. She says the partnership blends the worlds in a way that celebrates creativity, adventure, and wonder. The aim is to open up new ways for Trainers and builders to explore.
Siddharth Muthyala, Design Director on LEGO Pokemon, adds that the project was done with care and passion. He says every detail and pose is meant to honor what makes these characters beloved. Fans should enjoy building as much as the designers enjoyed making them.
Gaku Susai, Chief Product and Experience Officer at The Pokemon Company International, emphasizes how Pokemon sparks discovery and connection. He says joining with the LEGO Group brings thought-out design and imagination together in a new form. The goal is to give fans more ways to build, play, and tell their own stories.
Find and catch them all through a digital scavenger hunt
From January 12 to February 27, LEGO Pokemon fans can hunt for hidden clues across LEGO and Pokemon digital channels. Clues unlock rewards and a grand prize. The top prize invites the winner to experience Pokemon XP and the 2026 Pokemon World Championships in San Francisco. The trip includes access to Championship Sunday at the Chase Center, plus all three new LEGO Pokemon sets. For details, fans can head to LEGO.com/Pokemon.
Photos that bring the sets to life
To celebrate the partnership, LEGO has commissioned photography showing the five Pokemon in real-world places. Each scene mirrors a Pokemon’s character and blends with local landscapes, highlighting the playful mix of creatures and travel vibes.
Where and how to get the sets
Pre-orders begin today at LEGO.com/Pokemon and Pokemon Center in the US, UK, and CA, with immediate purchase options available there. The full lineup goes on sale on February 27, 2026. You’ll also be able to buy at selected retailers worldwide, plus LEGO Stores and the Pokemon Center locations.
