Rise of the Tomb Raider Review 20So, you have been eager about trying your hand on Rise of the Tomb Raider right from its introduction. Here is a review to decide on it.

If you have been waiting patiently and have not so far got a chance to even try your hand on the Rise of the Tomb Raider, you can now get a real treat. Left alone in search for realizing the dream of her late father, Lara stands against a private army with highly trained personnel. She is in a desperate battle for what? Do you know what is it? If you have played any version of the Tomb Raider earlier, you might already be aware of the setup. Even though the plot of the game is not that much important, it is without any doubt a solid framework, wherein you will have to face gunfights that come instantly before you.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is actually a thrilling action game. The series is known for exploration of mechanics, solving puzzles and raiding tomb and each of these things are present in this version too. I was truly enthralled with the gorgeous locations and the excellent level design in this game.

When the developer of this game Crystal Dynamic Released the 2013 version of the game, you might have found it hard to find a review that did not talk about the unexplored series for offering some surface-level comparison fodder. Without any doubt, this game is going to be a good thing in the forthcoming holiday season in the action-adventure exploration genre. The reason for this is that if you own the Microsoft Xbox One, it will certainly grab your attention.

Right off the bat, the plot in the Rise of the Tomb Raider is much stronger this time around. The plot has lot to do with moves of the heroine of the game. The story actually picks back up about a year after the previous version of the game. Right from getting apart from Yamatai, the heroine is highly fanatical about the research of her father. The storyline clearly denotes that neither Lara nor Lord Croft is senseless about what they asserted to have witnessed during their quests. Much of her drive towards finding the truth is hastened by an opposing group known as Trinity. This group is also on the search for finding the lost city of Kitezh in Siberia. They too wish to expose the enigmatic connection to immortality.

According to my experience, the innovativeness of the game is something to praise as compared to the previous versions. The heroine has got a chip on her shoulder, but she has not missed her moral compass. So, even though, she is aggressive, she is able to look beyond her emotions, such that she can arrive at the right decisions. She arrives at the decisions without worrying about the outcome at the end of the day. Even though, the set up seems to be similar to that of previous editions, there are some surprising moments that showcase the maturity of Lara over these years. It is really hard to plunge into what those instants without climbing into the spoiler territory. In short, the story does a great job towards paying attention to the goals of the heroine. At the same time, she stays true to her values.

In the gameplay of Rise of the Tomb Raider, the friend of the heroine, Jonah joints hands with her. But, this does not last longer as these two girls are swiftly parted from each other. Even though Lara spends most part of the game alone, she is joined by Lord Croft along with the native group known as Remnants. These people were protecting their land for long. The leader of Remnants named Jacob has his own storyline that comes in amidst the gameplay. As against the previous version of the game, in stark like me most gamers were concerned about the supporting cast. Lara’s fight towards restoring the reputation of her father and also her move towards stopping trinity of the humans really echoed with me. The same thing was experienced by many of my friends as well.

Remnants are not just included in the game play just for story purpose, but the addition is made for bringing a new side mission feature to Rise of Tomb Raider. These additional expeditions are attached to the storyline and the great thing here is they offer some excellent rewards. These additions are not irritating and I felt myself wanting to take on and complete these missions. The reason is that they helped me out in my journey.

I was also happy to find the tombs back in the game. Even though there were a few in reboot, but they are higher in number in this version. The reality is that one of the first places that you will visit in the game is an attractive tomb set in Syria. The decomposing ruins and the visuals are great and are worth to mention. The stunning lighting and graphics in the game were simply superb.

The founders have made the prophet’s tomb as the sole reason for pushing the heroine towards Kitezh. This is accepted as a smart move by many gamers like me. It is also considered a way to express to the players that tombs are meant for business this time. When I raided the tomb, I got something that was pretty useful. Yes, it helped me unlock a new skill, after which I was able to hike in the wall at a faster pace. This is a feature that is hard to find in other games.

To climb the prize, the first thing you will have to do is to find the entrance of the tomb. You should actually spend some time in finding the entrance even though it is shown up at some point of time in the map.

Without any doubt, Rise of the Tomb Raider is an entertaining game. But, do not forget that you have other works to complete as it is addicting.
